Lunch at Camps Bay
Last Sunday morning we decided to have lunch in beautiful Camps Bay, set against the backdrop of the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range. It has the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town and is perfect for a holiday, lunch or late afternoon sundowners.
It was perfect, almost spring weather, and first of all we drove along the coast where we spotted many people having picnic. We eventually had to decide on a restaurant, so we chose the one where there was a buzz, with people sitting in the relaxing lounges and sidewalk seating, chatting happily while sipping cool wine and enjoying their lunch. Café Caprice was indeed a very good choice. The restaurant is situated directly opposite Camps Bay Beach, which is a perfect sunset viewing spot. Our thoughts went back to Mykonos in Greece where sunset viewing is the ultimate thing to do.
We decided on the Long Board Platter for two, consisting of Parma ham, Coppa, Bresaola, Salami & grilled Chorizo, olives, basil pesto marinated bocconcini, toasted ciabatta bread and fresh rocket salad. For dessert we had their Baked Cheesecake, Berry Coulis & Vanilla Ice Cream. It was a perfect Sunday afternoon.
Life is good!
