We read a few very negative comments regarding Lemon Butta restaurant, situated at the Willowbridge Life Style Centre, Bellville.

We decided to try the restaurant last Friday as we were at the centre for some Christmas shopping.  The ambience is not too bad, but should you choose to sit outside on the patio, your view would be of the cars in the parking area.  So, we were seated inside the huge restaurant itself.

There were not many diners at the restaurant at first, but gradually more people came in for lunch.  Our waitress was very quick to serve us and remained attentive throughout our lunch.  We placed our orders and after about 20 minutes our food arrived – fish and chips for me and a whole baked line fish for Deon.  My fish and chips was served in a beautiful copper pan.  I am not very partial to food served in pans in restaurants, but the copper pan was clearly brand new.  Both our meals were perfectly cooked.

For dessert, we shared a warm chocolate brownie with ice-cream, which was delicious. It was actually more like a chocolate lava pudding, with chocolate oozing out of the centre.

Yes, it was a bit pricy for a restaurant in a Life Style Centre.  But bad service and food?  We did not experience any of that.
