Bistro on Beach

Today was the second time in a short while that we visited Bistro on Beach, a small restaurant situated at the Melkboschstrand beachfront.

We were on our way to the popular Orca restaurant on both occasions, but on the first attempt the restaurant was closed and on the second it was full and we had to wait for more than an hour to be seated.

Bistro on Beach is beautifully decorated in crisp blue and white colours, the service is good and the food is consistent.  On both occasions, Deon ordered hake and calamari and I ordered hake and chips, both served with chips or rice and a tartar sauce.

The dessert was awesome, a lemony slice of cheesecake and ice-cream served with spun sugar. It was a beautiful plate and over the top delicious.

It would be lovely to have lunch on a hot day on the balcony with a spectacular view of the sea.
